L. PETS

GENERAL

We have several animal lovers in our community. Yet, many of us may not be comfortable with animals, and we must be sensitive to such individuals. To ensure that no one in the community is inconvenienced, here are the guidelines for pet owners:

  1. Pet owners need to provide one-time information to the Property Manager about the type and number of pets in their respective apartments.
  2. When outside the apartment, pets are required always to be on a leash and under the control of the pet owner/caretaker.
  3. Pet owners are responsible for ensuring there is no mess left behind in any area within the compound. Owners are advised to instruct their caretakers accordingly and to take appropriate cleaning measures if their pet leaves behind any mess anywhere in public areas.
  4. Pets are not allowed in the passenger lifts, and owners/caretakers are to use the service lift for the pets.
  5. Pets are not allowed on the podium level and in the sports areas like the poolside, Gymnasium, Games Room, Multi-Purpose Hall, its Lawns, Tennis Court and Squash Court.
  6. It is mandatory to register your pet with the PCMC and get a licence. Please see the picture below for a pet dog licence. After obtaining same, please submit a photocopy at the BMS Office.

We expect that all our pet-owner residents will be considerate and will ensure that the hygiene and tranquillity of our compound are maintained.

BEST PRACTICES FOR DOG OWNERS

(This guide is created by the pet owners’ group in 24K Glitterati)

A request from Pet Owners To Pet Owners!

We love our Pets and consider them to be part of our family. Just like our family, we need
to ensure that we (and our pets) are not soiling the premises so others can use them
without concerns about Hygiene and Cleanliness.
Here are some best practices that we follow, and we recommend them to you and your Dog Walkers too:

  1. Please refrain from walking your dog without a leash in the parking premises. Dogs do get startled at times by sudden sounds and could bolt in any direction posing a threat to themselves and scaring the poop out of any other nearby society members
  2. Please do not permit your pets to jump up on and scare other members of our
community. Not everyone is as comfortable with pets and might get scared.
  3. Please use the Service elevator when you are with your pets. Of course, if the service
elevator is not clean, then please use the common elevators and ask the BMS staff to
    clean the service elevator
  4. If your dog pees inside the building structure, please clean it thoroughly like you would your own house. This prevents injury by slipping and falling.
  5. When walking your dog, please carry bags/scoops and a bottle of water.
§ If your dog pees in the parking area, please pour water over the same spot. Not only does this help it flow away and not create a puddle, but also dilutes the yellow
    (yucky!) colour.
For extra points, carry water with some baking soda in it so it neutralizes the smell
    too!
  6. If your dog poops in the parking area, please clean up by putting the poop in a bag and
disposing of it in one of the many garbage bins in the parking area.
In case of an emergency, when you have forgotten to get a poop bag, please check
if the BMS has one available.
  7. Ensure and encourage your dog walker to also follow these best practices.
Pets are members of our family and deserve an enriching and fulfilling life in the
community. But let’s be mindful of those community members who are not comfortable with pets. Let’s keep the premises clean!
PS. A request to the 24K community. Dogs bark or react in their own unique ways. Do not panic !! Check with the owner/walker before reacting or trying to pet them.
